By using Standard Record you agree to what follows. If you do not, please do not use the site.

What this is

Standard Record is a research tool. It aggregates and republishes public United States federal regulatory records and presents them organised by company. It reports what an agency found and recorded.

What this is not

Accuracy, and its limits

Records are reproduced from agency releases and refreshed on each agency's own publication cadence, so this site can lag the agency. Agencies themselves amend, vacate, and reclassify findings. Matching a record to a company relies on name and location, which federal agencies do not record uniformly.

We match conservatively and deliberately under-match. Where a record cannot be attributed with confidence, we leave it unattached rather than guess — attributing one company's record to another is the most serious error this kind of product can make, and we would rather show less.

The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. Always verify against the agency's own release, which we link, before relying on a record for any consequential decision.

Corrections

If a record here is attached to the wrong company, or misstates what the agency published, tell us and we will investigate and fix it. Write to contact with the page, the company, and what is wrong.

We cannot delete an accurate federal record because it is unflattering. If the agency's own record is wrong, that correction has to be made with the agency; once the agency publishes the amendment, our copy follows on the next refresh.
