Standard Record reports on businesses, not people. Every record published here concerns a company, a facility, or a motor carrier as an entity regulated by a federal agency. Nothing on this site is a consumer report, and it is not used to make decisions about any individual's credit, insurance, employment, or housing.
What we collect from you
Today this site has no accounts, no logins, and no payment processing. Visiting it means:
- Server and edge logs. Our host and our CDN record ordinary request data — IP address, timestamp, page requested, user agent, referring page — to serve the site and to distinguish humans from automated traffic.
- No advertising trackers and no third-party analytics scripts. There are no cookies set for advertising or cross-site tracking.
- Anything you choose to send us. If you email us, we hold that message and your address so we can reply.
Where the records come from
All published records originate in releases from United States federal agencies, including the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the Mine Safety and Health Administration, the Environmental Protection Agency, and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration. We republish them with attribution and link each figure to the release it came from. We do not buy, scrape, or enrich records with personal data about individuals.
Some federal records name individuals in a business capacity — an owner of record, a company officer, a listed operator. Those names are published by the agency as part of the regulatory record, and we reproduce them only in that business context.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information.
- We do not build profiles of individuals.
- We do not track you across other websites.
Service providers
We use a small number of vendors to run the service — hosting, CDN and DNS, and an email delivery provider. They process data only to provide those services.
Requests
If you want to know what we hold about you, or want it deleted, write to us at the address on the contact page. To correct a record rather than personal data, see Terms, which explains what we can and cannot change.
